We are a small family-owned business and natives of Idaho. Our employee force consists of family and friends as we grow with you, our customers and community. Our love for gardening and helping to enrich others' lives through the cultivation of flowers, vegetables, herbs, and fruit is our purpose and passion.
Locally Sourced from the United States, our seeds are sourced from high-quality farms, predominantly in the Pacific Northwest. We only sell the best seeds as we understand the importance of integrity in growing food to feed yourselves and your families. The health of our future is a driving force of our business. The majority of our seeds are Heirloom, Non-GMO.
Isla's Garden Seeds is the name of our company. Isla (pronounced Eye-Luh) is the youngest in our family. We named our company after her because she is the anchor for the six of us, filling our home with a playful, vibrant, colorful joy, akin to a garden. If you've purchased seeds since the formation of our business in 2017, you may have received a rare packet with her photo on the front.
The Marglobe Tomato is a favorite of the home gardener and one of the best heirloom tomatoes on the market, as it is humidity, disease, and crack-resistant. The plant yields a high volume of medium-sized, globe-shaped tomatoes, versatile enough to fit just about any dish - salad, sandwich, or canned. Plant Marglobe Tomato Seeds in your garden and harvest early tomatoes this spring! Seeds are great for planting in the garden or for storing in a seed safe for emergency.
This heirloom classic, red, round tomato is resistant to humidity, disease, and cracking. It yields high volumes of 7-9 oz fruits quicker than most other red tomatoes, making it a perfect slicing tomato for sandwiches and salads. The Marglobe Tomato plant grows 18-24" in height, with a 30-36" spacing, and produces globe-shaped, deep scarlet tomatoes that average 8-10 oz. It is a determinate variety.
Since temperatures below 55 degrees Fahrenheit can damage production, protect the plants if temperatures drop. A thick layer of mulch helps conserve moisture; water the plants once a week, but avoid getting the leaves wet. Determinate, or bush-type tomatoes, do not require staking.
