Global Knives are truly unique, made in Niigata, Japan. The most important feature of any knife is its edge, and Global knives have two most innovative features - their edge and the way they are balanced. The blade is made from proprietary Cromova 18 high carbon stainless steel, which is ice-tempered and hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of 56-58, remaining razor sharp longer than any other steel and resisting rust, stains, and corrosion. The blade edge is ground on both sides of the blade like western style blades, but the edge is ground to a straight point rather than a beveled edge, resulting in a razor-sharp edge that will stay sharper longer.

To balance the blade, all Global knives have a unique hollow handle filled with the right amount of sand to create the perfect balance. The Global signature stainless steel molded dimpled handle provides a safe grip and perfect balance. The Cromova 18 high carbon stainless steel blades are made up of chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium, designed exclusively for Global. These blades are ice-tempered, with a Rockwell Hardness of 58°, which allows them to hold a unique razor-sharp convex edge for longer.

The blade edge is ground on each side (symmetrical 50/50 bevel) creating a super fine 15-degree edge. Global knives are made in Japan and come with a limited lifetime warranty. Hand washing is recommended for these knives.

The Global knife set includes a 3" Paring Knife, 4.5" Utility Knife, 5" Chef's Utility/Prep Knife, 5.5" Nakiri Knife, 8" Chef's Knife, and 8" Bread Knife, along with a Bamboo/Acrylic Knife Block.
